Littlest Angel Guild raises $228,000 for children’s hospital

This year’s theme for the recent Littlest Angel Guild’s Pursenally Yours fundraiser was “Bringing Color to Life” and for the 272 guests in attendance, they did just that; raising more than $228,000 for the young patients at Rady Children’s Health Orange County (formerly CHOC).

The 26th annual signature event, held at the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, included a silent auction showcasing an array of designer and vintage handbags, exclusive experience packages, and exciting grab bag opportunities.

Among the spectacular live auction items were a Goodyear Blimp ride, a Palm Springs getaway, and box seats at the Hollywood Bowl. One of the highlights was a grand prize drawing for a beautiful 2-carat diamond ring donated by David Hayman Jewellers of Yorba Linda. White House Catering provided a delicious lunch. Proceeds benefit the CHOC Heart Institute and the CHOC Resident Dog Program.

For more than 60 years, members of the Littlest Angel Guild have spent countless hours raising funds and awareness for programs and services at Rady Children’s, raising more than $7 million.

The guild represents a multi-generational group of women residing in Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda, Brea and Placentia. Lucille Summerfield is the current Littlest Angel Guild president. Event chairwomen for this year’s fundraiser were Dominique Johnson and Diana Spillane.
