The days when much of South Orange County centered around life on a ranch will be remembered this weekend with a popular fun and educational annual event.

The Rancho Days Fiesta at Heritage Hill Historical Park on May 2 will feature a variety of activities harkening back to the area’s early residents, including Native American and Folklorico dancing, charro horse riding and roping demonstrations.

There will be live music entertainment, piñata breaking and other cultural performances.

Amigos de la Colina volunteer docents will offer tours of the park’s historic buildings.

“With interactive experiences, educational demonstrations and cultural performances, the event is a meaningful way for guests of all ages to connect with Orange County’s history and celebrate traditions that remain an important part of our community today,” Third District Supervisor Don Wagner said.
