A marching band and drumline from a historically black university will be joined by drum major Mickey Mouse to kick off the Celebrate Soulfully campaign at the Disneyland resort celebrating the work of Black artists through music, dance, food and stories.

Yardfest returns to Downtown Disney on June 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a drumline performance by the Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul Marching Band along with DJ music, games and trivia.

The free marching band performances will take place at 5:30, 7 and 8:15 p.m. near the Downtown Disney Live stage at the Anaheim outdoor shopping mall next to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Yardfest kicks off the Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes concert series running on Fridays and Saturdays from June 19 through July 19 at the Paradise Garden Bandstand in Disney California Adventure.
The Summer Vibes shows will feature live bands playing Top 40, Jazz, Caribbean and Zydeco music.
