Angel City Football Club has traded 19-year-old midfielder Kennedy Fuller to Bay FC, the team announced Wednesday.

In exchange, Angel City will receive $500,000 in intra-league transfer funds and $20,000 in allocation funds.

Angel City also sends a 2026 international roster spot to Bay FC.

Fuller was days from turning 17 when she bypassed college and signed with Angel City on March 6, 2024, through the NWSL’s U-18 Entry Mechanism. Earlier this season, she made her 50th appearance with the club.

In an Instagram post, Fuller thanked Angel City fans and teammates: “This city gave me my first professional home, my debut and a family that changed my life …LA will always hold a piece of my heart. Thank you for everything.”

In her first season, Fuller made 19 appearances. She played in all 26 games last season.

After starting the first five games this season, Fuller went through a four-game stretch where she saw just 49 minutes in three sub situations.

Last month, Fuller said she was still finding her confidence and admitted to feeling “a little old” in her third season in the league.

In one of those sub spots, she scored the winning goal against Kansas City and admitted in the postgame press conference how difficult things had been during that stretch.

“(Playing) time has been lacking for me,” she said after that winning goal. “Obviously, (coach) Alex (Straus) knows. So my biggest job this week and last week and the last couple of weeks has been really putting time in training and really focusing on what they need from me and then whenever I do get my chance, just really work hard and do what they’re asking because each game is going to be different.”

Fuller did return to the starting lineup in Angel City’s last two games May 23 and 31 before the break.

She was the fourth of a wave of teen talents for Angel City, which started with 18-year-old Harvard-Westlake High student Alyssa Thompson after she was selected No. 1 overall in the 2023 NWSL draft, followed by the signing of her younger sister Gisele, 17, in December of that year, 16-year-old Casey Phair in January 2024 and Fuller two months later. Alyssa Thompson was traded overseas to Chelsea in September 2025 in a blockbuster deal that netted Angel City at least $1.3 million

Fuller’s initial contract ran through the 2026 season, with an option for 2027.

“Kennedy is an exciting player and a fantastic addition,” Bay FC coach Emma Coates said. “She is a superb young talent who possesses lots of NWSL experience. Her creativity and quality on the ball make her a joy to watch and will add to our attack. What is most exciting is the room she has to continue developing, and I believe she has a very bright future ahead of her at Bay FC.”

Bay FC says Fuller will join the club after the June international window.

“From my conversations with Emma and the staff, it was clear that this is an environment where players are challenged to grow and reach their potential,” Fuller said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to learning from my teammates, connecting with the fans and doing everything I can to help the team compete for championships.”
