LV Furniture Collection, a Las Vegas-based brand of Italian-inspired modern furniture, is taking the place of At Home in Foothill Ranch.

A sign was seen recently at the entrance at 26532 Towne Centre Drive. The company also posted on its Instagram page that it’s opening “in Irvine.”
“From contemporary living spaces to distinctive dining collections and one-of-a-kind accent pieces, we’re bringing the same curated experience that many of you have enjoyed in Las Vegas to Orange County,” the social media post says.
We reached out to LV Furniture Collection via Instagram to try and determine if the company is opening two stores or if its reference to “Irvine” is actually neighboring Foothill Ranch.
“We’re excited to share that our Irvine showroom is currently under construction and is expected to open in approximately three months,” the company stated. “While we don’t have an official opening date to announce just yet, we’re making great progress and look forward to welcoming customers soon.”
At Home exited Orange County last summer during a bankruptcy reorganization. The Texas-based company, then with $2 billion in debt, blamed a “rapidly evolving trade environment” and the “impact of tariff policies” for its decision to restructure and downsize.
Stores remain in the Inland Empire, San Diego and Clovis. The large-scale furniture and housewares retailer was known for leasing enormous, Costco-like spaces to sell everything from patio furniture to candles, kitchen gadgets and decor.

Bed Bath & Beyond returns with a request
Bed Bath & Beyond wants your old coupons.
The retailer, which has been online only since 2023, has revived its brick-and-mortar brand by co-opting space at The Container Store.
Now, to get shoppers to those merged stores, it wants them to dig up their old blue and white coupons and use them.
Yes, those old coupons will be good through July 13.
If you missed the news back in April, the company has installed Bed Bath & Beyond at several Container Stores in Southern California:
Costa Mesa: 901-G South Coast Drive (next to South Coast Plaza)
El Segundo: 710 S Sepulveda Boulevard (Plaza El Segundo)
Los Angeles: 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard, Suite 218 (Westfield Century City)
Woodland Hills: 21949 Ventura Boulevard (Gateway Plaza)
San Diego: 7097 Friars Road (Fashion Valley)
Bed Bath & Beyond closed its 360 brick-and-mortar locations in 2023 after filing for bankruptcy. The closures affected some 14,000 employees at the time.
New customers can request a new 20% off coupon (which can be used on the entire purchase, not just one item as was traditional) by signing up via an email address.

Mission Viejo debuts Costco’s first standalone gas station
Costco’s first standalone gas station — no warehouse, no hot dogs, no rotisserie chicken — is open in Mission Viejo.

The one-of-a-kind fueling station replaced a former Bed Bath & Beyond. Coincidentally, that brand is seeing a bit of a rebirth in California as it opens a few locations within The Container Store.
Costco opted to open a gas station only in a shopping center that hugs the 5 freeway at Oso Parkway.
Traffic into the gas station on Thursday was light, perhaps because few Costco members know it’s now open.
Coincidentally, Costco has three warehouse stores in the vicinity (with gas stations): two are just 2-3 miles away in Laguna Niguel (Cabot Road and Heather Ridge), another is about 9 miles away in San Juan Capistrano (Doheny Park Road).
So, while Costco warehouses are bountiful for south Orange County shoppers, they now have a new stop for gas, which has been a hot topic since the war with Iran sent prices upward.
The station in Mission Viejo features 40 pumps under a 17,234-square-foot fueling canopy. It’s open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Prices for regular unleaded gasoline on Thursday at the Costco station were $4.79 a gallon, according to the GasBuddy app.

Anduril campus up for sale: The defense-tech company’s leased campus in Costa Mesa is up for grabs, Bloomberg reports. That doesn’t mean Anduril is going anywhere. The company, founded by Oculus headset creator Palmer Luckey, has 13 years left on its lease for the sprawling 634,000-square-foot office and research facility. The property, a former printing plant for the Los Angeles Times redeveloped by owners Invesco Ltd. and SteelWave LLC, is likely worth at least $400 million. Bloomberg’s John Gittelsohn, a former OC Register reporter, noted in his story that Southern California has become “one of the country’s fastest-growing centers for defense technology companies, fueled by rising federal spending and evolving weapons strategies since the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran.”
New Coca-Cola plant taking shape: Pat Maio, our jobs and economy reporter, shared the news that Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling is working on a $650 million bottling and distribution center in Rancho Cucamonga. It should be ready by early 2027, just in time for the 2028 Olympics of which the soft drink maker is a sponsor. The redevelopment is replacing the company’s 1984-built distribution center on a 30-acre site at the corner of 6th Street and Haven Avenue. Notably, the facility marks the first of its kind for the beverage maker in 60 years. It will employ up to 600 workers when complete, so stay tuned, job-seekers.
New EV truck hits the market: An electric-vehicle startup backed by Jeff Bezos debuted its all-electric subcompact pickup at just under $25,000. Slate Auto is betting the price tag will help it compete with bigger, more established automakers. The stripped-down two-seater offers 205 miles of range and up to 2,000 pounds of towing capacity and will start at $24,950. The truck is manufactured in Warsaw, Indiana.
