The coaches have been selected for the Orange County all-star boys and girls basketball games on May 2 at Cypress College, organizer Jesse James announced.
For the girls game, Buena Park’s DeAnthony Wiley will coach the North while Portola’s Brian Barham will guide the South.
Buena Park (20-6) won the Empire League title this past season and reached the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. The Coyotes lost to eventual champion La Salle in the first round.

Portola (20-11) earned an at-large playoff entry from the Pacific Coast League and advanced to the Division 2 quarterfinals. The Bulldogs lost to Saugus, the eventual runner-up and a CIF SoCal Regional finalist in Division II.
For the boys game, El Modena’s Matthew Henderson will coach the North while Portola’s Brian Smith will lead the South.
Portola (22-7) claimed the Pacific Coast League title en route to making the Division 3 playoffs. The Bulldogs lost at Glendora 70-68 in the first round.

El Modena finished 14-14 after going 7-20 in 2024-25.
Rosters are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
