NEW YORK — Storms rolling through the East Coast dumped enough rain on the Bronx to postpone Saturday’s game between the Dodgers and New York Yankees.

The rain stopped briefly Saturday afternoon but was expected to return by game time. The decision to postpone the game was made by MLB a few hours before the scheduled first pitch.
The postponed game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Sunday at Yankee Stadium.

The first game will start at 9:30 a.m. PT, televised on SportsNet LA, with the second game at the regularly scheduled 4:20 p.m. start time on NBC/Peacock.
Right-hander Emmet Sheehan was scheduled to start Saturday’s postponed game with Yoshinobu Yamamoto scheduled for Sunday. Those two are expected to start the two games Sunday.
