Kevin Durant, the NBA MVP, a two-time NBA champion and four-time Olympian, is back in the lottery this weekend.

Durant is one of the celebrity coaches for the USA Basketball Foundation x RX3 Charity 3×3 Tournament at the Open Gym Premier in Ladera Ranch Saturday.
Under the format of the tournament, teams entering the event will make charitable bids on the “draft order” and then pick their USA Basketball alum for the event based on that draft order.
So do you pick Durant or John R. Wooden Legends of Coaching recipient Dawn Staley, who has coached South Carolina to three NCAA titles since 2017?
Or do you pick two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne or Chris Bosh, an 11-time NBA All-Star?
Former Team USA members Darren Collison, Jimmer Fredette, Chet Holmgren and Mitch Richmond, among others, are also in the “coaching lottery.” The coaches will also take part in skills competitions during the event.

The tournament will tip off at 10 a.m. Tickets to watch start at $200. More information can be found at 3x3charitytournament.ticketspice.com/3×3.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the USA Basketball Foundation and other charities identified by the Team USA alumni.
The tournament, USA Basketball officials said, will bring together “USA Basketball athletes and coaches, celebrities, business leaders, entrepreneurs and philanthropists for a high-energy day of competition, community and giving.”
The event is a platform, Jennifer Lynne Williams, USA Basketball Foundation chief development officer, said, for “USA Basketball alumni and donors, to raise awareness for causes near to their hearts and to inspire others to use the game of basketball as a force for good.”
Durant hopes to highlight the work of his Durant Family Foundation, which since 2013 has developed programs and initiatives in support of youth in his hometown of Washington, D.C., as well as globally, and, according to the foundation, “provided grants to support programs addressing homelessness, youth athletics, girls empowerment, social justice and disaster relief.”
