Come join friends and neighbors from 1 to 5 p.m. at this social function hosted by the city of Anaheim’s Older Adult Program. Whether you already know how to line dance or have always wanted to learn, dance instructors will lead this program. Rubber-soled shoes are required.

Ebell Club helps with back to school
Members of the Ebell Club of Canyon Hills recently collected more than $1,700 in backpacks and school supplies for the Orange Unified School District’s Community Outreach Program.
This outreach program serves students in need who attend schools throughout its campuses, including Anaheim Hills, Orange and Villa Park.
First vice presidents, Philanthropy, Joy Lais and Linda Schleiger delivered such basic essentials as pens, pencils, markers, glue sticks, index cards, notebook paper, notebooks, binders and backpacks, to the OUSD office for distribution throughout this school year.
Membership in the nonprofit Ebell Club is open to all women within Anaheim Hills and surrounding communities interested in fun, friendship and helping the community.
The next meeting of the Ebell Club is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 12 (date changed because of Labor Day) in the Fellowship Hall at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church. Sharon Woodward and Joyce Rogers are third vice presidents, membership. Heather Terjung is the current club president.

Dozynki Harvest Festival is coming up
Mark your calendar for the 47th annual Dozynki Harvest Festival scheduled for Sept. 19 and 20 at the Pope John Paul II Polish Center.
This special community event features traditional folk dancing and live concert bands as well as a variety of authentic Polish foods. Activities also include children’s games, arts and crafts, raffles and much more.

Shop books to help the library
Friends of Canyon Hills Library will host a Flash Book Sale on Monday and Tuesday at the Canyon Hills branch library.
The sale will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the branch and will feature a wide selection of fiction, non-fiction, as well as specialty books all at bargain prices. Don’t forget to check out the collectible items in the glass cases in the library lobby.

Luncheon to raise money for India ministry
Save the date for the seventh annual Hope Restored India Fashion Show Benefit Luncheon on Oct. 10 at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim. All women in the community are invited.
This year’s theme is “Paris” and includes an exquisite fashion show by La Galleria Boutique, an exciting silent auction, a delicious lunch, raffle opportunities and lots of fun and fellowship.
The $55 per person ticket price includes lunch and parking and will raise funds for women and children affected by human trafficking in India. Hope Restored India is a ministry dedicated to restoring hope while providing care, rehabilitation and opportunities and to be a catalyst in the lives of women to help empower them to live healthy, sustainable lives.
