Noteworthy: He returned a punt 51 yards for a touchdown, had a team-high six tackles and caught two touchdown passes for the Red Hawks in a 63-7 nonleague win over Anaheim. Vejar’s touchdown receptions were for 55 yards and 27 yards. “He’s got an intensity to his game,” said Fullerton coach Pete Karavedas. “He’s a safety who wants to get downhill against the running game but he can also cover in the passing game.” Vejar, a receiver/defensive back, was All-Lambda League first team last season. Fullerton plays at home against El Dorado (0-0) on Friday.
