The Disneyland resort will close eight attractions for seasonal refurbishments as summer winds down and the busy Halloween season kicks off at the Anaheim theme park.

Indiana Jones Adventure, Mad Tea Party, Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, Pixie Hollow and “Fantasmic” will temporarily close in September for standard refurbishments and as part of seasonal schedules at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The eight new attraction closures join the Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition, Silly Symphony Swings and Main Street Cinema that were already shuttered for refurbishment.
The Indiana Jones Adventure motion-based platform dark ride in Adventureland will be closed for an extended refurbishment from Sept. 8 through at least early October.
The Mad Tea Party tea cups ride in Fantasyland will undergo an extended refurbishment from Sept. 14 through at least early October.
The Tom Sawyer Island play area in the middle of Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be closed to visitors on Sept. 14-16 for seasonal refurbishments.
The “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark on Sept. 1-3, Sept. 7-10, Sept. 14-17, Sept. 21-24 and Sept. 28-30 as daily showtimes during the summer season come to an end.

Traffic on the Rivers of America at Disneyland will be disrupted with the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and the Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes out of commission in September.
The riverboat will be docked and not carrying passengers on Sept. 8-11. The Columbia will be out of service on Sept. 1-4, Sept. 7-11 and Sept. 21-24. The human-powered canoes will be closed on Sept. 1-3 and Sept. 7-10.
Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in September (Sept. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29). The Disneyland character meet-and-greet area recently completed a 10-month refurbishment.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition shooting gallery will reopen on Sept. 11 after a two-month refurbishment.

The Main Street Cinema on Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A. will return on Friday, Aug. 28, after a three-week refurbishment.
