Garden Grove football coach Matt LemMon has resigned after two seasons, he confirmed Monday.
The Argonauts finished 2-8 in 2025 and 2024 under LemMon, who arrived after a seven-year run at Tamalpais in Northern California.

Garden Grove went a combined 0-10 in the Kappa League the past two seasons.
For the 2026-27 league cycle in Orange County, Garden Grove will drop two leagues to the Omicron League. The Argonauts will join Buena Park, Estancia, Los Amigos, Santa Ana and University in the league.
LemMon is coaching Garden Grove in spring ball before his departure. He said he plans to move to the Oakland area to work in high school administration and be closer to his parents.
