Cal State Fullerton celebrated 605 graduates from its College of Humanities and Social Sciences during a Monday morning commencement on the Intramural Field — the first of 16 ceremonies the university is hosting for its Class of 2026.

Commencement ceremonies will be held by the university across multiple days this week. More than 10,000 of CSUF’s roughly 11,000 total graduates this spring are expected to walk, with an estimated 83,000 guests anticipated campus-wide.

Associated Students Inc. President Haneefah Syed delivered the address at Monday morning’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences ceremony — the first of three the college would hold that day.

Syed, who earned her English degree summa cum laude, also received the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Senior Award. She is set to attend law school, where she will focus on international humanitarian law.

Also celebrating graduates on Monday were the College of Education and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

On Tuesday, the College of Engineering and Computer Science has two ceremonies, while the College of Health and Human Development has three. The College of Business and Economics will hold three ceremonies Wednesday, while the College of Communications will hold two.

The College of the Arts will cap off commencement week with its ceremony Thursday.
