The musicians set to accompany the surf contest will include Local Natives, Real Estate, G. Love & Special Sauce, Matt Costa, Arcy Drive and more to be announced at a later date, organizers said.

The concerts will be held during three evenings of the nine-day contest, the first on July 25, then again the following weekend on July 31 and Aug. 1. The event’s capacity will increase to 3,000 people each night, doubling the number of attendees from 2025, organizers said.

The first night on July 25 will open with G. Love & Special Sauce, followed by Orange County native Matt Costa.

“In the early 2000s, I wrote my first record in Huntington Beach,” Costa said in a news release. “It led me on a worldwide musical journey. I’m happy to be back at the US Open to perform these songs and many more from my travels. Huntington Beach is my hometown.”

On Friday, July 31, Real Estate will perform, and on the following and final night, Aug. 1, Local Natives and Arcy Drive will take the stage.

Nick Mateyunas, singer and guitarist for Arcy Drive, talked about how he and bandmate Patrick “Helzi” Helrige attended the U.S. Open of Surfing a decade ago when they were both 16.

“I remember getting to Huntington Beach and fully feeling like I’d found the place I was supposed to be born,” Mateyunas said. “I went back to New York, but that trip never left me.”

A few years later, he picked up a guitar and started Arcy Drive with Helrige.

“Now here we are, 10 years later, somehow coming back to the same sand to play the U.S. Open ourselves. Full circle moment for us for sure,” Mateyunas said.

Tickets for the concerts will go on sale May 21 at 10 a.m., and will start at $69 for general admission and $119 for VIP. Three-day festival passes will be available for  $199 for general admission and $349 for VIP.

The concerts are for those 21 years and older.

The U.S. Open of Surfing will run from July 25 to Aug. 2, and includes a festival area as well as the surf contest that draws the best longboarders and Challenger Series competitors who can earn valuable points to land on the World Surf League’s elite Championship Tour.
