HOLLYWOOD \u2014 \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d castmates, Oscar nominees and in-laws Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday, one day before the film\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s star, Meryl Streep, Dwayne Johnson, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr. joined Blunt and Tucci in speaking at the late-morning ceremony at 6930 Hollywood Blvd., between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive.<\/p>\n

The stars are the 2,841st and 2,842nd since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the initial 1,558 stars.<\/p>\n

Blunt overcame stuttering in her childhood and early teens to have an acting career that began in 2001 when she was 18 and appeared in the West End production of the comedy \u201cThe Royal Family,\u201d portraying the granddaughter of the matriarch of a famed acting family (Judi Dench).<\/p>\n

Blunt made her film debut in the 2004 British drama \u201cMy Summer of Love.\u201d Her next film was \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada,\u201d and her performance as the first assistant to demanding magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) earned her a 2007 Golden Globe Award nomination for best supporting actress.<\/p>\n

At the same ceremony, Blunt won the Golden Globe Award for supporting actress in a television program for her title role in the BBC drama, \u201cGideon\u2019s Daughter\u201d as the troubled only child of a New Labor spin doctor (Bill Nighy).<\/p>\n

Blunt has six other Golden Globe Award nominations. She also received best supporting actress in a motion picture nominations in 2023 for \u201cOppenheimer\u201d and in 2025 for \u201cThe Smashing Machine\u201d; best actress in a motion picture drama in 2009 for \u201cThe Young Victoria\u201d and best actress in a motion picture comedy or musical in 2011 for \u201cSalmon Fishing in the Yemen,\u201d in 2014 for \u201cInto the Woods\u201d and 2018 for \u201cMary Poppins Returns.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blunt received her only Oscar nomination for her portrayal of the wife of the title character in the biopic \u201cOppenheimer,\u201d losing for best supporting actress to Da\u2019Vine Joy Randolph.<\/p>\n

Blunt\u2019s other film credits include \u201cThe Jane Austen Book Club\u201d; \u201cDan in Real Life\u201d; \u201cCharlie Wilson\u2019s War\u201d; \u201cThe Adjustment Bureau\u201d; \u201cThe Five-Year Engagement\u201d; and \u201cJungle Cruise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her next film \u2014 the Steven Spielberg-directed science fiction film \u201cDisclosure Day,\u201d is set for release June 12.<\/p>\n

Tucci was born Nov. 11, 1960, in the New York City suburb of Peekskill and raised in nearby Katonah. He earned his Actors\u2019 Equity card in 1982 when Colleen Dewhurst arranged for him and his high school friend Campbell Scott, a son of Dewhurst and George C. Scott, to have roles in the Broadway play she was starring in, \u201cThe Queen and the Rebels.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tucci made his film debut in the 1985 black comedy crime film, \u201cPrizzi\u2019s Honor.\u201d He received best supporting actor Oscar and Golden Globe Award nominations for his role as a serial killer in the 2009 supernatural drama \u201cThe Lovely Bones.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tucci\u2019s television career includes an outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie Emmy Award for the title role in \u201cWinchell\u201d and outstanding guest actor in a comedy series Emmy for a 2006 episode of the USA Network comedy-drama detective series \u201cMonk.\u201d<\/p>\n
