(Photo courtesy of Kinnison)\n<\/div><span>Expand<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p>She alerted a lifeguard in Tower 6, and the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Department was contacted, sending someone to pick up the specimen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou never know what the story is \u2014 it would be cool if we could get some answers,\u201d Kinnison said.<\/p>\n<p>She posted the photos on social media, and the speculations came flooding in.<\/p>\n<p>Some wondered if it was from a marine mammal. A shark attack? Murder?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully a family gets closure from this for a missing loved one,\u201d one commenter wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Kinnison, too, is curious about the origin, she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is human, believed to be of Native American ancestry,\u201d Sgt.
