WEST SACRAMENTO \u2014 On Saturday night, the third time was the charm for the Angels against the A\u2019s.<\/p>\n

In the third game of the series, they held a 2-0 lead and were threatening for more with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning. It was the Angels\u2019 third bases-loaded opportunity of the night after they came up empty the first two times.<\/p>\n

With reliever Scott Barlow on after the Angels had knocked starter J.T. Ginn from the game, Zach Neto doubled to left field to give the Angels some breathing room, driving in two runs. Nolan Schanuel followed with a double of his own to push the lead to 6-0.<\/p>\n

This time, the lead held.<\/p>\n

The Angels added one more run on a solo homer from Denzer Guzman, his second of the season and second in as many days, in a 7-0 win.<\/p>\n

When Ure\u00f1a and Ginn last faced off on May 18, they were locked in a pitcher\u2019s duel. Ure\u00f1a went six scoreless innings, while Ginn went eight no-hit frames before he gave up a walk-off homer to Neto in the ninth.<\/p>\n

A change of venue and a month later, the two pitchers matched up again in a similar type of game for the first five innings, only with the pursuit of a no-hitter taken care of early.<\/p>\n

The A\u2019s loaded the bases in the bottom of the first, but Ure\u00f1a was able to wiggle free of the threat on a Lawrence Butler grounder to third.<\/p>\n

The Angels scored twice in the top of the second, with Jo Adell leading off the inning with a double, followed by a Wade Meckler walk. A Donovan Walton single and a sacrifice fly from Jose Siri put the Angels ahead. They loaded the bases in the second, but Ginn got Schanuel to ground out to first.<\/p>\n

The Angels loaded the bases again in the top of the third, but a pair of groundouts to first kept the score at 2-0.<\/p>\n

Ginn faced more traffic on the bases while Ure\u00f1a settled in after the first inning, but the A\u2019s were able to drive up Ure\u00f1a\u2019s pitch count. The Angels were unable to fully take advantage of their opportunities until the sixth.<\/p>\n

Ure\u00f1a finished with five scoreless innings, giving up four hits and striking out six. It was his 10th consecutive outing of at least five innings and three or fewer runs allowed.<\/p>\n

He entered the game tied with Jered Weaver\u2019s nine-game rookie streak in 2006. Now he is tied with Ron Romanick\u2019s 10-game streak in 1984.<\/p>\n

The only Angels rookie ahead of him is Marcelino L\u00f3pez, who had a 12-game streak during his rookie season in 1965.<\/p>\n

Catcher Tyler Heineman made his Angels debut Friday night after Logan O\u2019Hoppe was replaced by a pinch runner in the 10th inning. In his first start, Heineman made a big impression, going 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.<\/p>\n

After going 3 for 21 on the road trip entering Saturday, Adell collected three hits and scored a run.<\/p>\n

Before Ure\u00f1a threw a pitch in the first inning, home plate umpire Dan Bellino came out to have the Angels\u2019 right-hander remove his headband with the flag of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n
