(Christina Merino, Press-Telegram\/SCNG)\n<\/div><span>Expand<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p>LONG BEACH \u2014 It was a better result this time around for Felix Rosenqvist.<\/p>\n<p>The pole sitter for the 51st annual Grand Prix of Long Beach, Rosenqvist\u2019s second-place finish is his best in seven starts in Southern California.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/siliconvalleymovingpost.com\/?p=1836\">2026 Grand Prix of Long Beach: Alex Palou earns elusive 1st win<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think, all in all, we have to be happy,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you take things into perspective, it\u2019s been a very good weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pole winner in Long Beach two years ago, Rosenqvist was ninth that day and had never finished higher than fourth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing into the weekend, we were just trying to do something different and try to reload a little bit and get the confidence back,\u201d said Rosenqvist, whose previous best finish this season was a pair of 12th-place results at St. Petersburg and Phoenix. \u201cI think this result is important mentally, not just for me, but for everyone on the crew.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old Swede led the first 51 laps on Sunday, his most at the 1.968-mile street course.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, you want to win and\/or have the opportunity, but I\u2019m proud of today,\u201d Rosenqvist said. \u201cI think everything we were working on kind of paid off.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS<\/h4>\n<p>Matt Brabham doesn\u2019t care about father-son rivalries.<\/p> <div>\n<\/div>\n<p>A day after 17-year-old Max Gordon won Race 1 on Saturday night, Brabham held on to beat both Robby and Max Gordon to win the Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks Race 2 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeating the both of them is always good fun,\u201d said Brabham, who last won in Long Beach in 2023. \u201cThe fact that they were two-three behind me, the best.\u201d<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/siliconvalleymovingpost.com\/?p=1835\">Always a Runner wins Kentucky Oaks under the lights<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Max Gordon came from the back row on Saturday night to claim Race 1, but Brabham jumped to the lead on Saturday and did not look back, leading the final five laps to claim his first win of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Robby Gordon finished second in both races, holding off his son in Race 2.<\/p> <div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy dad\u2019s still got it.
