A Florida man and social media \u201clooksmaxxer\u201d influencer has been arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested 18-year-old Mason Hull, who goes by \u201cHullo\u201d online, according to a department press release.<\/p>\n

Hull had more than 350,000 followers on TikTok, although his account has been turned to private since his arrest.<\/p>\n

His content was primarily part of the \u201clooksmaxxing\u201d subculture, a community of mostly young men who set out to improve their physical appearances, sometimes through extreme measures.<\/p>\n

Officials said they received a call on April 30 regarding Hull being in possession of child sexual abuse material. Detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit conducted interviews and reviewed the evidence.<\/p>\n

Investigators discovered links to websites used to obtain child sexual abuse material, as well as conversations discussing payment for files, according to the press release.<\/p>\n

Authorities seized his phone in order to obtain a search warrant, which was signed and executed on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The warrant for the phone turned up images of videos depicting female children aged eight to 15 years old.<\/p>\n

Member of the Sarasota Tactical Unit found Hull in the parking lot of his residence and took him into custody.<\/p>\n

Hull faces 15 counts of possession of child asexual abuse material.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

Sarasota officials said due to the suspect\u2019s significant social media presence anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the SCSO Investigations Bureau at (941) 861-4900.<\/p>\n
