Completed in 2026, the 3,452-square-foot retreat listed as “Sun Via” includes a three-bedroom, two-bathroom main house and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest house arranged around a central courtyard. More than 7,000 square feet of hardscape connects the homes with entertaining, wellness and recreation areas.
Public records identify the seller as 59181 Sun Via LLC, a California limited liability company managed by Shannon Zackary, a luxury jewelry designer from Los Angeles. Zackary also markets the compound as “The Beachhouse in the Desert,” a luxury short-term rental with nightly rates in October ranging from $1,600 to $2,700, according to Booking.com.
Airbnb shows similar pricing, with a five-night stay in early November discounted to $8,503 from $10,187. The property remains available for rentals while listed for sale.
“Buyers today are looking for properties that offer more than just a beautiful home; they want an experience,” said Clayton Baldwin of Kinetic Properties, who shares the listing with Justin Le of Luxe Real Estate.
Inside, both homes have tongue-and-groove ceilings, clerestory windows and triple-pane windows and sliding doors that frame desert vistas.
Set against the Mojave landscape dotted with Joshua trees and distant mountain views, the outdoor space includes a 500-square-foot barbecue pavilion with built-in bench seating and a 100-inch outdoor flat-screen TV mounted on a wall inside.
The pavilion opens to a built-in barbecue and wraparound bar with 14 bar stools, part of a larger layout with ample space for outdoor dining and lounging.
Wellness amenities include a mirrored-glass Nordic five-person sauna and two Method cold plunges.

Outdoor recreation amenities include an 80-foot, hand-tiled pool and spa with an integrated fire pit, a regulation sand volleyball court, a putting green, a full basketball court, a pickleball court and a bocce court. The pool area also includes a tiled daybed large enough for three queen-size mattresses.
“What makes Sun Via so rare is the level of thought and design that was carried through at this scale,” Le said. “To execute something this elaborate while still making it feel cohesive, intentional and elevated is incredibly difficult to replicate in the High Desert.”
Custom design runs throughout both homes, from built-ins to furniture.
Each has a full kitchen with travertine sinks, but the main house adds a center island with Poliform stools and a bifold window over the sink.
The main house also has a long 12-person dining table, while the guest house has a round travertine one that weighs 800 pounds, according to the listing.
Fireplaces anchor the living rooms in both houses.
Each bedroom holds a king-size bed and features a white oak workspace and linen curtains.
The bathrooms are fully tiled and include dual rain and handheld showerheads. Several open to private outdoor showers and soaking tubs.
Two paid-off solar systems, two electric vehicle chargers and hardwired Starlink round out the property’s infrastructure.
Sun Via is a 5 minute drive from local shops and 10 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park.
