In late June, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse introduced what it called an all-new chicken sandwich lineup.

On a recent visit to BJ’s, we found the menu lists three sandwiches, and one of them can be customized five ways.
It’s called BJ’s Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it’s made with honey mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and dill pickles on a brioche bun with coleslaw and fries on the side, according to BJ’s menu. It costs about $16.99.
The chicken can be tossed in any of BJ’s sauces for its chicken wings, which include Honey BBQ, BJ’s Peppered BBQ, Hot Honey Buffalo, Tatonka Stout Buffalo or Nashville Hot, according to a news release from the Huntington Beach-based chain.

It’s not to be confused – if you can avoid it – with BJ’s Original Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which has the same ingredients. But this one is one of eight choices on BJ’s $13 Pizookie Meal Deal, which was launched nearly two years ago and is still going strong. It’s served with fries and a personal Pizookie, a single-serving version of BJ’s cookie dessert.
The deal is available all day Monday through Friday.
The third sandwich, which we tried, is Korean Sweet & Spicy Chicken. BJ’s calls it a crispy chicken sandwich, but it’s not crispy in the KFC Extra Crispy way. The chicken breast is thickly cut and coated with a deep red glaze. It’s sprinkled with sesame seeds and topped with sriracha aioli and pickled vegetables on a brioche bun. It comes with fries and costs about $17.49.
BJ’s also has two limited time Pizookies: Stars and Stripes, which will be available for a while after the July 4 holiday, and Graham Cracker & S’mores.
