The 31st annual Anaheim Flag Day is planned for June 14 at Pearson Park.
The annual event will include a parade, live music, historic reenactments, classic cars and more from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s Flag Day will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a community tribute to Old Glory.

And, it is time to turn the rest of the city red, white and blue!
Anaheim residents are encouraged to display American flags and outdoor patriotic decorations. Share a photo with Anaheim Beautiful, which is hosting two drawings for a chance to win a $50 Home Depot gift card.
The first drawing deadline is June 12, before midnight. Winners will be announced at the Anaheim Flag Day celebration.
The second drawing will be July 4 before midnight, and the winner will be announced shortly after the deadline on social media.

Get ready for disasters and how to help
Listos Training begins on June 13, offering a full day of training that can prepare you and your family for disasters and emergencies.
This Emergency Preparedness course offer topics such as hazard and risk identification, communication plan, reunification plan and more.
The training will be held at the North Net Training Center, 2400 E. Orangewood Ave., in Anaheim. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for this 8-hour course.

The Center Art Gallery in the Downtown Community Center has a new exhibt on display: “Anaheim – Through the Eyes of an Artist.”
The project is designed for the purpose of perpetuating local heritage and to awaken interest and develop civic pride. There will be a wide variety of styles and different mediums represented in the pieces displayed.
The exhibit will be available through July 9.
Muzeo takes a look at two moments in history
The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center has two spring exhibits on display through July 12 that celebrate moments in the city’s past.
The Muzeo’s Main Gallery will present “Concrete Wave: Vans at 60 and the Birth of Anaheim Skateboard Culture,” which is a tribute to Vans’ 60th anniversary and the pioneering skate culture that took root right in Anaheim.
In the historic Carnegie Building, “Catching the Spirit of ’76: America’s Bicentennial” will commemorate the nation’s 250th birthday with a look back to 1976.
Also, there will be a “Summer of Skate” bingo fundraiser scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 6 with dinner, specialty cocktails and bingo. Cost is $65 single ticket, $500 table of eight.
Free CPR certification class offered
There will be a class offered on June 26 for getting CPR certified.
It will be a hands-on class, and will be led by Anaheim Colony’s Greg Gerovac. This is a great opportunity to learn lifesaving skills that can help protect family, friends, neighbors and others.
Reservations are required for the class, which will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Meghan Shigo’s office, 351 E. Center St. in Anaheim.

Lots of opportunities to hear some music
Mark your calendars, the 2026 Concerts in the Park series is about ready to return.
The Thursday night concerts in Modjeska Park will be at 6:30 p.m. on June 11, June 18 and June 25.
The Concerts in the Canyon at Ronald Reagan Park will be July 9, July 16, July 23 and July 30.
And, the Pearson Park Amphitheatre concerts will be July 25, Aug. 1, Aug. 8, Aug. 15 and Aug. 22.
With funding help from Disneyland, the concerts are free.
Ringling Bros show preview
There is an exciting opportunity for the community coming up!
Ringling Bros is returning to Anaheim this July at the Honda Center. There will be a special “sneak peek” of its new show at local library branches.
Ringling Hype Crew circus artists will entertain and delight audiences with an exclusive preview performance featuring unicycle tricks, jump rope acrobatics, hand balancing, plus a special appearance with adorable robo-pup Bailey Circuit.
These special previews will be coming to Anaheim libraries: Euclid Branch at 3:30 p.m. on June 26; Haskett Branch at 4 p.m. on July 1; and Ponderosa Joint-Use Library at 5:30 p.m. on July 2. Don’t miss the fun!

The annual summer reading incentive program soon returns to Anaheim Public Library.
To help encourage young readers to keep up with their reading during the summer, the Anaheim library system has a Summer Reading Program with special events, familiy activies and reading incentives.
