Miramar Food Hall in San Clemente will officially open on Thursday, June 18, giving South County residents a new spot to gather with friends and family and get whatever they want.
After years in the works, the North Beach project will bring 15 food vendors and two bars, alongside the revival of a landmark site, to the public.
Set inside the restored Miramar Theater complex, the food hall is operated by Tiger Hospitality Group. The gastronomic lineup includes Cosmos Burger, El Puerto Street Tacos, Graciously Thai, La Vida, Lobster Lab, Immersion Coffee Co., Sidelines Sandwiches, The Pita, RolledUp SC, Norigiri and It’s Alll Rice, a concept devoted to fried rice.

Two names likely to draw out-of-town food obsessives are Hen Haus, a new concept from Thyda Sieng, founder of Long Beach’s much-missed Fire Bird Nashville Hot Chicken, and Moto Pizza, a Seattle-born outfit know for its “off pizza” — i.e., a hybrid of Detroit, New York and Roman styles tinged with Filipino influences. Its San Clemente stall marks one of the brand’s first out-of-state outposts, which also has upcoming spots in San Diego and La Jolla.
The South County food hall is part of the broader revival of the Miramar site, a Spanish Colonial Revival stunner that mostly sat dark for decades. Now, with communal seating, patio space (replete with ocean views) and enough menu options to satisfy the group-chat consensus, Miramar aims to become a popular gathering spot in San Clemente.
The food hall, located on El Camino Real, will open at 7:30 a.m. with two vendors raring to go — Immersion Coffee and Egg n Out — with remaining food stalls opening at 11 a.m.
