Ringling Hype Crew circus artists will entertain and delight audiences with an exclusive preview performance featuring unicycle tricks, jump rope acrobatics, hand balancing, plus a special appearance with adorable robo-pup Bailey Circuit.

These special previews will be coming to Anaheim libraries: Euclid Branch at 3:30 p.m. on June 26; Haskett Branch at 4 p.m. on July 1; and Ponderosa Joint-Use Library at 5:30 p.m. on July 2. Don’t miss the fun!

The Center Art Gallery in the Downtown Community Center has a new exhibit on display: “Anaheim – Through the Eyes of an Artist.”

The project is designed for the purpose of perpetuating local heritage and to awaken interest and develop civic pride.  There will be a wide variety of styles and different mediums represented in the pieces displayed.

The exhibit will be available through July 9.

Muzeo has summer concerts planned

The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center has a free summer concert series.

The performers will be Sol Societe, a 1970s-influenced original pop group, on July 10 and Clever Soul, a ’70s R & B group, on Aug.  14.

The concerts will be held right in the Muzeo’s Carnegie Plaza, gates open at 6 p.m. Take your own lawn chair; wine and beer will be available for purchase.

The Muzeo has two spring exhibits on display through July 12 that celebrate moments in the city’s past.

The Muzeo’s Main Gallery will present “Concrete Wave: Vans at 60 and the Birth of Anaheim Skateboard Culture,” which is a tribute to Vans’ 60th anniversary and the pioneering skate culture that took root right in Anaheim.

In the historic Carnegie Building, “Catching the Spirit of ’76: America’s Bicentennial” will commemorate the nation’s 250th birthday with a look back to 1976.

Anaheim Historical Society celebrates the year

The Anaheim Historical Society is holding its annual banquet on June 25.

There will be a special presentation by Chris Jepsen on Anaheim 250 years ago, and the group will recognize Dukku Lee as this year’s Andy Anaheim Award recipient.

Reservations are now open for the 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. event at Mama Cozza’s Restaurant.  Cost is $50 for members and $55 for non-members and includes dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. RSVP to Holly at [email protected].

Free CPR certification class offered

There will be a class offered on June 26 for getting CPR certified.

It will be a hands-on class, and will be led by Anaheim Colony’s Greg Gerovac. This is a great opportunity to learn lifesaving skills that can help protect family, friends, neighbors and others.

Reservations are required for the class, which will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Meghan Shigo’s office, 351 E. Center St. in Anaheim.

Lots of opportunities to hear some music

Mark your calendars, the 2026 Concerts in the Park series is about ready to return.

The Thursday night concerts in Modjeska Park will be at 6:30 p.m. tonight, June 18, and June 25.

The Concerts in the Canyon at Ronald Reagan Park will be July 9, July 16, July 23 and July 30.

And, the Pearson Park Amphitheatre concerts will be July 25, Aug. 1, Aug. 8, Aug. 15 and Aug. 22.

Keep up with reading this summer

The annual summer reading incentive program soon returns to Anaheim Public Library.

To help encourage young readers to keep up with their reading during the summer, the Anaheim library system has a Summer Reading Program with special events, familiy activies and reading incentives.

The program runs from June 8 to July 26. Look for more information at Anaheim.net/summerreading

Also, did you know that you can check out local state parks and beaches with your Anaheim Public Library card.  Stop by an APL branch and ask for a CA State Parks Pass at the Circulation Desk.

Learn to clog

Anaheim Colony resident Brian Bon, director of the on Family Cloggers, is is looking for kids who want to learn clogging.

He has been based in Southern California for 30 years and his dance group is nationally recognized.

This is a great activity for kids and the class will be held in the Colony –  it will be a six-week class that is lots of fun, but there is limited space.

Classes are offered at the Anaheim United Methodist Church.  Students ages 6 through adult are welcome.

Donations needed for thrift store

If you have done some spring cleaning and have items to donate, consider the Zion Thrift Store on Lincoln Avenue.

Housewares and decorative items are needed. Proceeds from the thrift shop support the church and its schools, and the donation of goods to local homeless and animal ministries.

The store is at 1425 E. Lincoln Ave., right across the street from The Original Pancake House. Hours are 10  a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
