What if there were another option? Well, there is. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can ride the air-conditioned OC Fair Express bus for only $2 per adult — and it’s free for kids age 18 and under. That sounds pretty good, right?
And the direct bus drops you off right outside the Yellow Gate entrance, so you’re not making any long treks to get there. The buses run every half hour from six different locations, where you can park for free before boarding. Some of the buses even have Wi-Fi. Not bad, right? Check the schedule for each location, but these buses generally leave in time to get to the fairgrounds around opening and the last departure is around closing time.

The buses are run by OCTA, so if you already have a WAVE payment card or the mobile app, you can use it. Bus drivers also accept cash in exact change. You can bring your food and drinks for later on board, but you can’t consume them on the bus.
