The retailer, which has its flagship store in West Hollywood, is opening this fall.
Babyletto sells nursery and children’s furniture essentials such as cribs, dressers, seating, mattresses, play tables and more.
A new line created in partnership with designer and author Nate Berkus will be part of the retailer’s fall lineup.
“Orange County, and particularly Costa Mesa, was a natural next market for us with a strong concentration of young and growing families,” said Teddy Fong, Babyletto founder and chief executive of Million Dollar Baby Co.
The family-owned company was created by Fong’s parents in Los Angeles in 1990.
Einstein Bros. Bagels opens in Orange
The long-awaited Einstein Bros. Bagels shop is open at the Orange Villa shopping center where North Tustin Street meets Meats Avenue. The center is also home to Staples, French’s Bakery and BevMo.
Locals have eagerly awaited Einstein bagels, which launched “coming up” signs at least a year ago, if not longer.
The bagel shop serves a variety of bagels, as they are, toasted or made into sandwiches or split with flavored “shmears.” Customers can also buy muffins, hot or iced coffee, juice and energy drinks.
Einstein Bagels got its start in 1995, created as an offshoot of the original Boston Market (Boston Chicken). Today, it’s a division of Panera Brands, which is owned by JAB Holding Co. The company also operates Noah’s New York Bagels and Manhattan Bagel.

More Babies R Us stores debut inside Kohl’s
Kohl’s is expanding its Babies ‘R Us in-store concept to more Southern California stores in September.
The in-store feature first launched in select stores in 2024, part of an effort to revive the brand after it went bankrupt in 2018 alongside Toys ‘R Us. The first stores to get the Babies ‘R Us concept included locations in Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine, Tustin, Buena Park and Laguna Niguel.
The in-store concept sells baby gear, toys, bath, furniture, feeding and safety products.
The retailer’s latest expansion includes stores in the following cities:
—Fullerton: 3204 Yorba Linda Blvd.
—Huntington Beach: 9811 Adams Ave.
—Seal Beach: 12345 Seal Beach Blvd.
—Yorba Linda: 23001 Savi Ranch Pkwy.
The in-store concept is also new at more than a dozen other Kohl’s in Southern California.

Kohl’s and Target have opted to partner with brands that seek alternatives to opening brick-and-mortar stores. Target recently ended such a collaboration with Ulta Beauty, opting to build out its own Beauty Studio instead. That in-store feature debuted in recent weeks.
CHOC pizza fundraiser
Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store is hosting its annual CHOC Love Drive, sending sales proceeds to children in need at the Rady Children’s Health in Orange.
The fundraising campaign’s biggest day is Wednesday, Sept. 16, when 100% of sales at all four Sgt. Pepperoni’s locations will be donated to the children’s hospital.
The Newport Beach location also will host a CHOC Love Drive celebration with live music, local vendors, raffle prizes, a photo booth and more.
The company said it’s partnership with CHOC has raised more than $500,000 for children over the years.

Rancho Mission Viejo is hosting the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – South Orange County from 9-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Sendero Field Park.
It’s the fourth year RMV has hosted the walk, and more than 250 participants have already raised more than $100,000. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide.
