It can be a game changing play that gets pitchers out of a tough jam, and now baseball’s iconic double play, which clinched the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2025 World Series title, is the inspiration behind a new limited-time menu at this burger chain.

The Habit restaurants are teaming up with Dodger star pitcher Alex Vesia for an eight-week menu that launched Sept. 16 with three new dishes.
“Baseball and burgers just go together, and when we started talking about this menu, the idea of the double play felt like the perfect inspiration,” Alex Vesia said in a statement. “Habit has always been one of my favorite spots, so getting to create a menu that fans can enjoy all season is pretty awesome.”
The new dishes include Double Play Char. It’s a double-patty Charburger with American cheese, avocado, tomato, shredded lettuce, BBQ Sauce and the restaurant’s signature Strikeout Sauce on a toasted brioche bun.
Another dish being called up is the Double Play Salad that’s made with two chargrilled chicken breasts, romaine and green leaf lettuce with hickory-smoked bacon, avocado, crispy onion tanglers, tomatoes, BBQ Sauce, Strikeout Sauce and housemade ranch.

And rounding off the top of the lineup is the Double Chocolate Shake. This made-to-order chocolate shake is blended with brownie pieces and topped with whipped cream and then even more brownie pieces for double the chocolate flavor.
The Habit is a spot known not just for its Charburgers grilled over an open flame, but for bleeding Dodger blue as well. The chain recently transformed its Echo Park restaurant into a Los Angeles Dodgers hangout. The location is at 2134 W. Sunset Blvd., not far from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The new residency marks the second installment of the Habit’s residency promotion following Chef Jet Tila’s debut residency earlier this year. The program invites standout personalities to bring new ideas and flavors to the Habit chain for a limited time.
