After 25 years, Claim Jumper in Brea has closed.
According to a statement from the restaurant’s owners, Kelly Restaurant Group, its last day was Sunday, June 30 and it was shuttered “due to a natural lease expiration and a significant increase in rent demands.”

The restaurant group’s statement also said that the company was “committed to supporting our employees during this transition and have offered immediate transfers to any Claim Jumper or any of the 136 restaurants under the umbrella of Claim Jumper’s parent company.”
A new restaurant, The Dylan, under entirely different ownership, will take over the space immediately. Its opening date has not been announced.

The Claim Jumper Team closed with a word of gratitude to loyal customers, “We’d like to sincerely thank the community for 25 great years and encourage guests to visit our nearby locations.” The closest Claim Jumpers to Brea are Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo and Monrovia.
