Public Awareness through Citizens Education, or P.A.C.E., is coming to Anaheim.

Participation in the PACE program is a serious time commitment and well worth it. The PACE academy helps citizens become more aware of how their Police Department functions in daily operations, helps the department to become more aware of the feelings and concerns of the community, and builds harmonious relationships between citizens and police personnel.

Halloween movies at Farmers Park

Lumen Experiences is bringing Halloween Monday Night Movies to the Anaheim Packing District’s Farmers Park.

The free screenings will be shown on a giant LED screen in the park.  Seating and blankets available while supplies last. Showtime is 7 p.m.

And of course, popcorn is available for purchase.

Coming up are “Casper” on  Oct. 12; “Coco” on Oct. 19; and “Hocus Pocus” on Oct. 26.

Nominate homes that get in the spirit

The Anaheim Beautiful Fall & Halloween Home Decorating Contest is taking entries until Oct. 12.

Do you go all out to turn your home into something spooky or festive in your neighborhood? Anaheim Beautiful is offering awards.

Email to [email protected] to enter: Resident’s name, full address, phone, email address, pictures and video. Homes will need to remain decorated from Oct. 16 to Oct. 31 (dusk to 10 p.m.).

Who will be the next Miss Anaheim?

The 2026-27 Miss Anaheim Beautiful scholarship program recognition and crowning will be held on Oct. 11.

Tickets are $10 for the 3 p.m. event at the Ebell Club, 226 N. Helena St.

Colonists cruise to gather

A classic car show will be hosted on Oct.  17 at Anaheim High.

There will be entertainment, food, vendors, and lots of classic cars to check out.  There will also be lots of alumni on site.

Also, the next Anaheim High all-class alumni breakfast is Nov. 9.

Former Colonists will meet at Mr. D’s Diner, 126 E. Yorba Linda Blvd., in Placentia.  The gathering features a speaker to enlighten the group, door prizes and more.

Vintage and collectible doll sale

The CA Doll Collectors Club is presenting a big doll sale on Nov. 8 in Anaheim.

Antique vintage dolls, Barbies, toys, teddy bears, and vintage holiday items will be for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brookhurst Community Center, 2271 West Crescent Ave.

Help get Anaheim Halloween ready

Halloween is right around the corner, and so are the Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade.

The organizers of the two popular events are looking for volunteers. Each Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. up until the events on Oct. 24, folks will be busy creating new floats and sprucing up the existing floats.  Join the fun — and they do have a lot of fun!

Shop and help support the library

The Friends of Anaheim Public Library Book Sale is coming on Sept. 18 at the Central Library.

There will be books for sale, and other items too, such as jewelry, curios, knick-knacks, puzzles and more. Proceeds from the book sale directly support Anaheim Public Library programs and services.

The sale will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Central Library’s basement, 500 W. Broadway. For more information, call 714-765-1810

Muzeo has an animated October

The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center has an exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives on display.

“Capturing Life, Creating Character,” about the art of live-action reference, will be open in the Muzeo’s Main Gallery through Nov. 1.

This is a fascinating look at the pursuit of character animation through a collection of rarely seen photographs of live performers and their animated counterparts.

Another exhibit, “AnaheimLand,” is showing in the Carnegie South Gallery, also through Nov. 1. ” AnaheimLand ” draws on the deep, living connection between our city and the Disneyland Resort.  Don’t miss it.
