From up-and-coming racers to Olympians to world-record holders, the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine will be the place to watch elite swimming the next three weeks.
The two-pool complex is set to host a trio of top meets starting Tuesday, July 28 with the Toyota National Championships.
The senior national-level competition runs through Saturday with prelims at 9 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
Former Santa Margarita swimmer Teagan O’Dell, now at the University of Virginia, is among the Orange County entries.
Rising U.S. distance swimmer Luka Mijatovic, 17, of the Pleasanton Seahawks is seeded first in the 1,500-meter freestyle.

Next week, Irvine hosts the Speedo Junior Championships from Aug. 3-9. The host Irvine Novaquatics, featuring several Orange County high school standouts, will be among the local clubs racing.
The schedule at Woollett concludes with the Pan Pacific Championships from Aug. 12-15. The United States duels against Australia, Canada and Japan among others in the meet.
The Pan Pacific meet, last held in Irvine in 2010, is expected to include U.S. distance ace Katie Ledecky and Canada’s Summer McIntosh among others.
Ledecky holds world long-course records in the 800 and 1,500 freestyles while McIntosh holds four world records, including the 200 butterfly set earlier this month. McIntosh clocked a time of 2 minutes, 1.65 seconds in the butterfly on July 5.

The open water 10K races will be held Aug. 10 at Long Beach Marine Stadium.
