A 21-year-old Lake Forest man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Wednesday, Aug. 19, authorities said.

The collision happened just before 5:45 a.m. near El Toro Road and Creekside, when a motorcycle and vehicle collided, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The motorcyclist, David Matthew Atwood Sr., 55, of Lake Forest, was pronounced dead at a hospital, authorities said.

The crash is under investigation, the sheriff’s department said.
