The latest concept from Sushi-Ten USA, the group behind Culver City and Huntington Beach Sushi Nigiriba spots, which prides itself on authentic sushi that follows strict Japanese guidelines, opened this month at 5253 Katella Ave. The new Sushi Blissba is led by Corporate Chef Masaya Minyu and offers an elevated sushi restaurant with an à la carte menu and coursed dishes that mix traditional Japanese dishes and creative offerings using Eastern and Western ingredients.
Some of the highlights include a Sashimi Boat; the Tamagoyaki, a traditional Japanese rolled egg dish, and Anago, saltwater conger eel that’s torched tableside. People can also order nigiri, rolls, Japanese grilled skewers and fish, cold appetizers like edamame, and dessert such as Matcha Mochi Monaka.
