This week’s Orange County girls volleyball rankings:
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TOP 10

1. Mater Dei 13-0 (1): The Monarchs won the top division (Gold Division) in the Dave Mohs Memorial Tournament. They swept Marymount of Los Angeles in two sets in the finals. They play at home against Cathedral Catholic (5-0) on Thursday.

2. Santa Margarita 10-6 (3): The Eagles advanced to the semifinals of the Gold Division in the Mohs tournament. They played without All-Orange County first-team setter Ireland Real, who was away playing for a USA National team. Santa Margarita has a home match against the CIF Southern Section’s No. 1-ranked team, Sierra Canyon, on Sept. 16
3. Newport Harbor 14-3 (2): The Sailors went 3-3 in the Mohs tournament, including a win over CIF-SS No. 4-ranked West Ranch in their final match of the tournament. All-County first-team outside hitter Ella Olson played libero on the tournament’s final day because of a hand injury.
4. Los Alamitos 13-2 (4): The Griffins have won 10 consecutive matches. Included in that streak is a win over Orange Lutheran.
5. Crean Lutheran 15-4 (5) : The Saints lost to always-tough Cathedral Catholic in three sets, including a 16-14 loss in the third and final set.
6. JSerra 6-9 (8): The Lions went 3-3 in the Mohs tournament, including a win over San Juan Hills in their last match of the tournament,

7. San Juan Hills 5-11 (6): The Stallions went 2-4 in the Mohs tournament, including a split with JSerra. They played without All-Orange County first-team outside hitter Megan Hodges who was away playing for a USA National team.
8. Orange Lutheran 15-2 (7): The Lancers’ only loss over the past couple of weeks was to county No. 4 Los Alamitos.
9. Corona del Mar 16-3 (9): The Sea Kings, seen by county volleyball insiders as being among the surprise teams of the season, finally stumbled with recent losses to Etiwanda and Crescenta Valley.
10. Huntington Beach 11-6 (not ranked): The Oilers swept last week’s No. 10-ranked team, Beckman, in two sets.
