Stafford passed Roman Gabriel for the most passing touchdowns in Rams history, doing so in his sixth season with the franchise.

“Just super appreciative of all the guys that have helped me do that,” Stafford said. “Catching touchdowns and throwing touchdowns isn’t a one-man job. It takes a lot of people to block and get open and coaches to draw plays. So just a cool thing.”

He also became the only player in the NFL to hold the passing touchdowns record for two different franchises. He threw for 282 touchdowns in his time with the Detroit Lions, which remains their franchise record.

“It’s pretty cool. It just means you’re old and you’ve played a lot of ball and you wore yourself thin enough at a certain place where they moved on,” Stafford said with a cheeky grin. “It’s been a heckuva ride. Enjoy doing what I do, still love it and will do it some more.”

Nacua plays through calf

Wide receiver Puka Nacua was able to play through the calf injury he suffered in practice on Thursday. He finished the game with eight catches on 10 targets for 68 yards and a touchdown, plus two carries for 10 yards.

Nacua said he felt something in his lower calf while decelerating at practice on Thursday. After imaging revealed a minor pull, he missed practice on Friday and settled for mental reps discussing the game plan with Stafford.

Asked if he is also still playing through the hip injury that cost him a game earlier this season, Nacua did not deny it.

“I definitely try to stay warm on the sidelines,” he joked. “Just try to figure out how I can best feel out there on Sunday and doing everything I can.”
