A pedestrian was struck by a Corvette whose speeding driver was drag racing with a Mercedes-Benz in upper Manhattan early Thursday, police said.

The Corvette driver was zipping east when he slammed into the Mercedes and then struck a 34-year-old man before coming to a rest after hitting a building.
The pedestrian was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
The Mercedes driver, after being struck, lost control and hit a parked unoccupied moped and then fled the scene, leaving the wrecked luxury vehicle behind.

Police suspect one or both drivers were drag racing.
The Corvette driver and passenger were taken to Harlem Hospital and are also in stable condition. No charges were immediately filed.
