A window washer had to be rescued on Sunday morning, Sept. 27 after being stranded about 60 feet above the ground in Irvine.

The man, washing windows at the Network Capital building at 7700 Irvine Center Dr., found himself stuck around 10:30 a.m. when his harness and lowering system malfunctioned, the Orange County Fire Authority said.

It is unclear how long he was up there or who called for help.
The OCFA technical rescue team used a fire truck’s aerial ladder and bucket to reach the man and lower him to safety, according to its social media posts.

No one was injured, including the window washer.
