What is narrative art?
It illustrates stories, basically show and tell — much like this informational graphic that shows you the museum, not just tells you about it.
Architecture
Some say the building looks like a ship from one of the “Star Wars” films, but its designer, Ma Yansong, said he saw it as a cloud and the hills of L.A.
Theaters
Slavko BorkapichTheater: Mostly short films that are a few minutes long
Robert Flaherty Theater: Documentaries, the longest is 1 hour 33 minutes.
The murals
Some are original size. Banksy has an exhibit. Access is through the south elevators on Level 4.

The cinema section in the heart of the galleries features many “Star Wars” costumes, models and ships.
“It’s a museum by the people, for the people.”
