At the Santa Ana clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast, members can now get in some golf swings, play some soccer, even get their hands dirty in a garden.

A transformation of the outdoor field at the clubhouse, dubbed the Play Great Outdoor Complex, was recently completed. The $2.5 million project resulted in a new turf field, a 9-hole putting course, a garden area and a courtyard for the club’s older teens to hang out.

“The Play Great Outdoor Complex represents one of the largest investments in the Santa Ana Club’s history,” Robert Santana, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast, said in a statement. “It’s crucial that we continue to make significant investments in the future of youth by giving them access to opportunities that inspire authentic connection and confidence.”
