With more than 45,000 festivalgoers expected to attend the sold-out event, and hot conditions extending through the weekend, here are some tips for how to make your festival experience as smooth as possible.
Carrying your stuff
The festival’s bag policy requires that bags larger than 6-by-9 inches be clear and smaller than 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Smaller bags do not have to be clear, but can only have one pocket. Locker rentals are also available starting at $35.
Try your best to pack light. Doing so will help you beat the heat and should make it easier to be on your feet for long periods of time. Wearing a comfortable pair of shoes will also help with that.
You can also opt to leave your bag at home for the quickest entry to the festival.
Things to know before you go to Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival
Staying hydrated
Hydration is crucial at music festivals, especially during the summer. Reusable water bottles and hydration packs are permitted as long as they are empty upon entry, and sealed plastic or aluminum water bottles are also allowed.
We recommend bringing a reusable bottle or hydration pack and filling up at complimentary water refill stations, because even water can get pricey at festivals.
Forecasters are predicting a high of 82 degrees and a low of 70 degrees Saturday. So be sure to scout out cooling stations and shady spots to beat the heat.

What else is in the bag?
Daisy Chain Fields has an extensive list of what is and isn’t allowed into the event. Some items that you might not expect to be prohibited are aerosol containers, including sunscreen, hairspray and other beauty products. There are typically piles of full bottles of spray sunblock discarded at music festival security gates as fans are forced to ditch their often newly purchased item.

Small bottles of sunscreen lotion (3.4 ounces at most) or sunscreen sticks are your best option. It’s also a good idea to bring a hat for some extra sun protection.
Personal misting fans can also help relieve some of the heat, but they must have a bottle no larger than 1.5 liters and be empty upon entry to the festival. Additionally, chapstick and a small, foldable hand fan can be lifesavers for when the Southern California dryness starts to get to you.
And for when the festival food, or your factory-sealed personal snacks, get a bit too messy, hand sanitizer and wet wipes are good to have nearby.

Technology
Now, let’s talk tech. The festival welcomes basic point-and-shoot consumer-grade cameras without detachable lenses and other accessories. Portable battery packs and charging cables are allowed, too.
Professional cameras and recording equipment (photo, video and audio) are not permitted. Neither are attachments like tripods or selfie sticks.
Daisy Chain Fields is a 100% cashless festival, so make sure your wallet apps are up-to-date with the most current account information. We recommend bringing two different physical credit or debit cards with you, just in case.
There will be several charging stations available that can be located with the lightning bolt on the festival map. Plus, rentable lockers on-site come equipped with one 3-in-1 USB charging cable, with USB-C, Apple (Lightning), and Micro USB connectors, making this another solid option for any recharge needs.
Cell service will likely be very slow in the Great Park area due to the high volume of users, so unless you really need it, try to enjoy the moment and upload your photos and videos to social media once you’re back at your hotel, rental house or home.
